My desire is to see everyone who calls Calvary Chapel Georges Hall their home be engaged in serving.
The One we are following (Jesus) is our example who said "I did not come to be served but to serve" Matthew 20:28

Listed below are our ministries that you can be involved in to serve.

CCKIDS

All positions have the option of weekly, fortnightly or monthly participation. Continued participation can be reassessed at the end of the year.

Opportunities:

PLAYTIME (Tuesdays fortnightly)
Grandparents and people of any ages are welcomed to help:
        Overseer for this ministry
        Serve and prepare morning tea
        Organise craft
        Prepare music lesson
        Organise story time
        Help set up and pack away

MOTHERS ROOM HOSTS
        To ensure rooms are kept clean, hygienic and stocked with nappies/wipes etc.
        To assist mothers in room where required.

TECHNOLOGY/SOUND/MEDIA
        Set up sound systems and screen before children arrive

WORSHIP
        Use your gifting in playing an instrument to support worship leader

GREETERS
        Arrive 9.15am until 9.40am. Enthusiastically greet children and direct them to appropriate group.
        (Particularly need youth for this)

SET UP
        Arrive 8.50am to help set up.

PACK AWAY
        Come at the end of the service to help pack away and clean up.

DECORATIONS
        Arrive 8.50am. Put signs out and inflate helium balloons.

SUNDAY NIGHT CHILD MINDING
       Child minding for up to 10 children aged 2-6 with the help of two teenage assistants.

SUNDAY MORNING SUPPORT LEADERS
       Support leaders for all groups.

SIGN-IN TABLE GREETER
      Arrive 9.10am. Set up sign on sheets. Greet families as they arrive. Oversee parents as they sign in children.
      Ensure sign on sheets are filed and updated.

C.C. MULTI-MEDIA

ACTIVITIES - SUNDAY SERVICES
Opportunities:

     CD duplication - sermons, etc
     Spot light controls
     Oversight of DVD/Video/TV/Power Point presentations
     Video recording of services
     Sale of CD's/DVD's from services/promoted events/titles
      No experience required

CURRENT AREAS OF SERVICE AVAILABLE
     Video Camera Recording - morning and evening services
     Duplication of CD's/DVD's for sale - evening service
     Overseeing of Power Point/DVD projection for announcements etc. - evening service
     Operation of stage lighting - evening service

CONNECT GROUPS

Opportunities:
     Become a Connect group leader and run a fortnightly group
     Hosting of connect group in your home
     Creative person with technical/computer skills to help with promotions of groups
     Coordinator to assist in gathering info from groups by way of reports, photos, testimonies etc

CREATIVE MINISTRIES

Opportunities:
To be involved in major church events:
     Vision Sunday
     Easter
     Mothers' and Fathers' Days
     Thanksgiving Sunday
     Christmas services.

In any of the following elements:
     drama
      dance
     special music
     design & decoration
     multimedia.

We need people who:
     have talent or interest in any of these areas
     tradespeople/handymen or women (esp. carpenters, painters, electricians)
     bargain hunters/shoppers
     sewers (as in anyone who's handy with a sewing machine, NOT the wet smelly things where waste water goes!)
     general gophers!

Sometimes there's a lot to be done, sometimes a little, but many hands make light work

MEN'S MINISTRY

Opportunities:
     Steering Committee to arrange a program of activities and ministry throughout the year
     Men who would contact other men within the church for welfare and relationship building
     Set up and cooking team for events
      Actors for short plays
     Mentoring other men
     Utilize skills, abilities and knowledge to share with men in the church and community such as Business Acumen -
     Budgeting - Basic Cooking - Job
     Applications - Social skills - Counseling

NURSING HOME

Opportunities:
     Help set up for concert and afternoon teas
     Sit with residents during concert
     Be aware of residents who are upset or needing comfort
     Help serve afternoon teas
     Help pack away
     Deliver flyers to Nursing Home on Friday before concert
     Prayer team (including those who can't physically be there but cover the event with prayer)
     Musicians and singers for the band
     Performers (adult and children) for items: jugglers, dancers, singers, those who play musical instruments violin, spoons,      piano accordion, poetry, skits

PASTORAL CARE

Opportunities:

VISITOR'S LOUNGE
     Set up and serve morning teas to visitors and pack away
     Speak to visitors at church and point them to visitors lounge
     Those who could come to lounge and speak to visitors

FOUNDATION COURSE
     Run a new Christian's Foundations 101 five week course (run at the church or in someone's home)
     Head up an Alpha Course throughout the year

PRAYER
     Coordinator needed
     Liaison with Prayer chain participants via phone to communicate requests
     Commit to see request get prayer from Intercessors (prayer chain participants)
     Responsible to alert Team Leader of any visitation needs or calls
     Person to arrange prayer nights |

HOSPITAL & HOME VISITATION
     Assist Team Leader in visitation
     Availability to assist in contacting members who are ill /need prayer

SENIORS MINISTRY (60 Plus)
     Serve monthly to bless our Seniors
     Monthly Bus Driver-minimum LR License to transport senior on outings
     Outings Coordinator: liaison with Team Leader to organize alternate monthly outings that will bless and stimulate our seniors
     Coordinator of Guest Speakers roster - topics that will interest Seniors and inform them concerning issues they face in their      daily lives

TELEPHONE MINISTRY
     Assist Pastoral Care Team Leader by dedicating an hour or two a week to contact people (follow-up, encouragement and      connection)

PRACTICAL HELP
     Help facilitate the distribution of food and any other needs that are brought to the churches attention
     Assist on special projects such as missions giving
     Communion set up
     Baptism preparation
     Morning Teas assistance
     Tablecloths maintenance
     Door knocking or letter box drops to the community

WOMEN'S MINISTRY
(Tuesday PM and Friday AM once a month)
Opportunities:

      Worship - Singers/Musicians to be a part of the worship team
      Screen operator to operate Word to Screen (songs and announcements - training provided)
      Welcomers - To provide a warm friendly atmosphere to Women when they arrive and to assist them finding their way within                               the facility.
      Prayer - Come together half an hour prior to service to support our time in prayer.
      Setup/Take down - To assist once a term with setting up and clearing food/beverages and equipment used.
      Children - To assist in providing a creative, fun, safe and caring environment for pre-schoolers - Friday AM only - rostered                          once a year
       Hospitality - To provide and assist with catering requirements once every 6 months (Co-ordinator required for Tues PM only)

WORSHIP TEAM
Opportunities:


      Musicians - keyboards, bass guitar, electric and acoustic guitars, drums and much more.
      Singers - vocals on microphones and choir
      Screen Operators - to operate the 'word to screen' requirements of all services including songs and announcements.                                            (training provided)
      Sound co-ordinator (training provided)
      Sound assistant for pre and post service requirements including speakers requirements
      Wednesday practises, team building nights, worship nights.
      Various levels of commitment available from monthly to fortnightly to once per Sunday

YOUTH
Opportunities:

BUS DRIVERS
        Bus Drivers on a Friday night (We are looking for 4 bus drivers who would be willing to roster on once a month to pick         teenagers up to bring them to youth)
        Bus Drivers for specific occasions (eg; satellite once a term, and camps)

PRAYER
       Youth Prayer Support Team (We are in need of a team to pray when youth is on and to cover our teenagers and our leaders        in prayer during the week)

SPECIAL EVENTS
       Youth Special Events Team (Willing to help put on major events, like the Spring Carnival to encourage students to reach out         to their community)
