“I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the community, and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it
whatever I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work the more I live.”
George Bernard Shaw
Calvary Chapel is a church committed not only to being in the community but serving our local community where
ever possible. Some of our current initiatives include:
NURSING HOME CONCERT/VISITATION
Our nursing home team visits our local nursing home once a month. The team puts together a fun concert for theresidents and staff. Our aim is to show God’s love and care in practical ways to these valued members of our community. We also provide support for family members and visitation for any who require it. HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM & FUND RAISING
Our youth department run fun programs in our local High Schools during Friday afternoon. We bring lunch, hang out with the students and share God’s Word
in ways that are both interesting and relevant to students. Our church is also committed to seeing our local schools excel. One of our initiatives over the past
three years has been to fund an after school homework program for students who need extra tutorial assistance.

CHRISTMAS @THE HOMESTEAD
For the past 5 years Calvary Chapel has put on a Christmas event that has brought the community together in celebration of the birth of Christ. This annual event has seen us host up to 2,000 people with activities for kids and families including jumping castle, games and activities for the little ones, free concert and a spectacular fireworks display. This year we have added more activities and fun stuff for teenagers and young adults.
