We love children and youth at Calvary Chapel! Every child is a blessing, and a special gift from God. Our programs are designed to encourage and teach children and youth to grow in the Lord, and realise how much He loves them! Children's Ministries are available from birth through to sixth grade at all of our main worship services.
If you are visiting for the first time, then here are some things that will help you feel at ease when you bring your children to church with you.
SUNDAY MORNINGS
PRESCHOOL AGE CHILDREN
We have a fully operational preschool on our church property during the week, and on Sunday mornings we have full use of the preschool facilities. Children must be signed in before the service, and collected from the preschool. The preschool will record your mobile number and sms you during the service if your child is distressed, or has a need to see you. Our preschool teachers are experienced childcare workers, and are assisted by willing helpers who have undergone the appropriate volunteer training days.
SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN
Our school age program, “Sonrise” operates in the upstairs chapel. It is a fully enclosed facility which has access to their own toilet facilities. Children must be signed in by a parent, and collected by their parents at the conclusion of the service. The leaders are experienced childcare workers, and have been ministering to our children for a number of years. If any discipline issues arise in one of the programs, we will contact the parents for assistance.
SUNDAY EVENINGS
Our children’s program on Sunday evenings begins after praise and worship. Parents are encouraged to sign their children into the program prior to the service, and then during the greeting time take their children to the church hall where the program is held. Children must be collected by their parents at the conclusion of the program. The Sunday night program is available for children from 2yrs to 12yrs. There is a crèche for babies (with closed circuit tv) available for parents to mind their children during the sermon. An usher at the door will be happy to assist you.
Please Note: Once a month on a Sunday morning, the children come into church for communion and praise and worship with the church family. After communion, parents are given time to take their children to the different programs during our greeting time (a time when we say ‘hi’, and welcome visitors).
